Accessibility records for Shopify stores
When someone asks what you did about accessibility, have an answer with dates on it.
Curbcut checks your storefront for common accessibility problems, keeps a dated record of every check and every fix, and turns that into a report you can hand to a lawyer. It doesn't touch your theme, and it will never tell you that you're covered.

The situation
These complaints don't go to trial. They get negotiated.
Thousands of web accessibility lawsuits are filed in the US every year, and online stores are a large share of them. They very rarely reach a courtroom — they settle, usually within a few months, and typically somewhere in the $15,000 to $50,000 range once fees are counted.
Because it's a negotiation, what you can show matters. A store owner with nothing on file looks like they never thought about it. A store owner who can say “we've checked every week since March, we found 47 problems, we've fixed 41, here are the dates” is having a different conversation.
Curbcut exists to make the second sentence true and provable. It is not a shield and nobody should sell you one — but showing your work is worth having, and most stores have none.
How it works
Three things, done properly
We check your store
We read the pages your shoppers actually see — home, products, collections, pages and policies — and look for six of the most common problems. Weekly on Growth, daily on Pro, and again whenever your theme changes.
We keep the receipts
Every check and every fix is written down with a date and locked to the entry before it. If anything were altered later, the check button in your dashboard would say so. That is what makes it a record rather than a dashboard.
You can hand it over
A public accessibility statement for your footer, and a dated report you can send to a lawyer. We email you a copy of every report, so it is yours to keep whatever happens to the app.

Where we draw the line
Things we will never tell you
- That your store is compliant, certified, or in the clear. No automated test can support that, and the FTC has acted against companies that said it anyway.
- That an app can stop you being sued. Nothing can. Roughly a quarter of the sites sued already had an accessibility widget installed.
- That we found everything. We check the code of your pages for six common problems — real people using screen readers find more.
- That a clean result means you are done. A page we could not read is never counted as a page that passed, and we say so on screen.
